Sorry for taking a little break from Something-About, with uni work and everything going on at the moment, my life has been a little crazy, we should be back to normal, in the next few days.
Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful sunshine.
Kate
Kate started off studying art at a small sixth form in Cornwall, but she felt she wasn’t getting enough out of it. She made her move into wider areas of art halfway through her A-Levels when she decided to drop all of her un-art related subjects and start fresh with a full set of solely art based ones, where she immersed herself in whatever creative practice she could.
Booja-Booja // Guilt Free Ice Cream
Booja-Booja has a pretty awesome range of guilt free, delicious organic chocolates and a new fabulous alternative to dairy ice cream, this organic and dairy free ice cream is a great and healthier alternative and is actually still tastes nice! You can trust that everything Booja-Booja makes is dairy free, vegan and organic. My very belated new years revolution is to cut out all the naughty things I eat and get back into the swing of swimming again! So this may be the answer to my occasional slip ups?
Vintage Fair
East London’s biggest vintage fair is opening its doors one again this June at Shoreditch Town Hall. There will be a variety of sixty stalls from some of the UK’s best vintage traders, offering both men and women clothing, home ware, jewellery, accessories and much more. Also nestled among the stalls; a vintage tea room holding a scrumptious tea party and a rather glamourous sounding pop up beauty parlour which will be run by ‘Lipstick and Curls’ where I shall be getting pampered and preened. Definately Looking forward to this one.

Louboutin
There is a great retrospective of the infamous shoemaker Christian Louboutin’s work at the Design Museum. The exhibition reviews the evolution of the famous red soled shoes from the very start of his career with the launch of his label in 1991. It will take you through every stage of the design process, from initial drawings to the production. On show alongside the Louboutin shoes are objects and images reflecting the designers inspiration.
